ICL Performance Products is a specialty phosphates powerhouse with clear industry leadership in terms of revenues, product offerings, geographical presence, and technological capabilities.

ICL-PP produces a broad variety of downstream products for food and industrial applications with particular strength in customized solutions for the food, cleaning products, fire safety, coatings and electronics industries. It also produces alumina-based and other products for the paper, water treatment, construction, pharmaceutical and footwear industries.

The segment has established its headquarters in St. Louis to strengthen its marketing and customer support capabilities in North and South America.

Product Lines

Phosphate & phosphorus-based products (77%):

  • Food-grade & technical-grade phosphoric acid for food and industrial applications
  • Phosphate salts, blends and phosphorus derivatives for industrial applications
  • Food phosphates and other food additive and ingredient specialties (seasonings, flavors, color stabilizers, emulsifiers etc.)
  • Food hygiene, disinfectants and cleaning products

    • Pharmaceutical and cosmetic ingredients, thermoplastic materials and synthetic gypsum

        Environmental Activities 

        ICL-PP strives to minimize its impact on the environment and ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements regarding environmental protection. Many of its facilities have long standing, active community outreach programs, including Citizen Advisory Panels, periodic drills with local emergency responders, participation in the local emergency planning commission, open houses etc. These community outreach programs provide the opportunity for transparency with the general public and with local responders/regulators. In addition, ICL-PP encourages employees to practice environmental stewardship both at work and at home.
         
        During 2010, ICL-PP invested approximately $2.4 million in property, plant and equipment for maintaining the environment, as well as expending approximately $7.7 million in current expenses in environmental matters. The main investments in the environmental area include water, sewage and sludge treatment in various facilities around the world, integration of ISO 14001 in its Ludwigshafen and Ladenberg facilities and integration of RC 14001 in the US.
