“Where Needs Take Us” – ICL’s Identity and Re-branding Process

ICL’s ‘Next Step Forward’ strategy defines its identity and mission as a global, unified company that provides the essential needs of humanity in its core markets: Agriculture, Food and Engineered Materials.

The agricultural products that ICL produce help to feed the world’s growing population. The potash and phosphates that it mines and manufactures are used as ingredients in fertilizers and serve as essential components in the pharmaceutical industry. The food additives that ICL produce enable people to have greater access to more varied and higher quality food. Substances created by ICL based on bromine and phosphates help to create more efficient and environmentally-friendly energy, prevent the spread of forest fires, and allow the safe and widespread use of a variety of products and materials.

As a company operating in global markets, ICL faces numerous global challenges driven by major trends: rapid growth of the population, an increasing middle class, growth in calorie consumption per capita, diminishing reserves of natural resources, concern for the environment in an age of global warming, among others. ICL’s unique brand site presents the thinking behind the company’s brand story, demonstrates its graphic brand and brand language, and illustrates how these combine harmoniously to symbolize ICL’s vision and strategy. The brand site also provides a glimpse of the new names of ICL’s business units worldwide, as well as branding illustrations, a “brand book” and video clips that demonstrate ICL’s major role in fulfilling the essential needs of humanity in the Agriculture, Food and Engineered Materials markets.
